I got broadband and still found it was difficult to track any downloads down, finally now that I have torrents I've downloaded the discorgaphy and I'm really quite impressed.
One of the first bands I heard of when I was getting into Japanese music was GLAY, but at the time I was on 56k Internet and so it was virtually impossible to get hold of their stuff.
